Notice of Trademark Use*

I understand that if the trademark is not being used in U.S. commerce, then the application will need to be filed on an intent to use basis. I understand that this means that a registration will not issue until I have started using the trademark with the applied-for goods/services in the US. I understand that to prove use, a document must be filed with the USPTO called a "Statement of Use" within the next year (extensions are available). I understand that the Statement of Use for a single-class application will cost $375, which consists of a $275 attorney fee and the government’s $100 filing fee. I understand that this fee is not included in the trademark filing package that I purchased. The payment is not due until after the application is approved.
